For members with their own generation facilities \u2013 such as photovoltaic systems \u2013 this often means that only about <strong>10 to 15 percent of their electricity surplus<\/strong> They can actually be sold within the energy community. The hoped-for additional revenue therefore often fails to materialize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At BEG WIEN, we have pursued a different approach from the very beginning. This means that the proportion is significantly higher than what is common in many energy communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This high percentage brings several advantages. For one thing, the <strong>More efficient use of the electricity grid<\/strong>, because more locally generated electricity is also consumed locally. Secondly, it strengthens the <strong>regional energy transition<\/strong>, since renewable energy is used directly in Vienna. At the same time, the members feeding into the grid benefit from a <strong>significantly better marketing of their electricity surplus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trend shows that a well-managed balance between generation and consumption is a crucial success factor for energy communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyone who also wants to become part of BEG VIENNA and their <strong>Feed surplus electricity into the energy community<\/strong> Those who wish to do so still have the opportunity.
