The Vienna Business Agency supports with the funding \u201cLocal Energy Supply\u201d Micro-enterprises in Vienna on the ground floor<\/strong>, which local supply<\/strong> The aim is to promote investments in energy-efficient measures and the further development of commercial premises. This should help local businesses more climate-friendly<\/strong>, economically strengthened and made more attractive to customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main measures supported are Reducing energy consumption<\/strong>, such as replacing old heating or cooling units, switching to energy-efficient lighting, insulating commercial premises, or using digital technologies for energy optimization. Investments in equipment, modernization of the business premises, marketing, or training are also eligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The maximum funding amount is 25,000 euros per company per year<\/strong>. Energy-saving measures<\/strong> will be with up to 50 %<\/strong> Some receive funding, others with 25%. The prerequisite is that the total project costs must be at least 3,000 euros. Projects may last a maximum of two years. New founders also receive a one-time bonus of 5,000 euros if the company was founded within one year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The funding can be applied for immediately by the end of 2026<\/strong> as long as budget funds are available. The allocation will be based on the first-come, first-served principle. It is important that the application before the start<\/strong> of the project. Submissions are made online via the Vienna Business Agency's funding cockpit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this program, the City of Vienna aims to strengthen local economy<\/strong> as well as a contribution to Climate protection <\/strong>\u2013 through targeted support of small businesses that shape the cityscape and ensure the quality of life in the neighborhoods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And now comes the particularly interesting part for many:<\/mark> According to a photovoltaic system installer, this subsidy can also for the construction of company-owned PV systems and electricity storage systems<\/strong> \u2013 provided the company meets the other funding criteria. This opens up a great opportunity for smaller businesses to invest in their own clean power supply while simultaneously taking advantage of funding to significantly reduce initial costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
