The multilingualism project is suspended.

At the beginning of 2025, we intensively examined the issue of multilingualism in energy communities. We found that, both in energy communities in general and specifically in our own energy communities, there are very few people whose Mother tongue allegedly not German is.

In order to support these people as best as possible and to reduce potential barriers to access, we have Multilingual websites offered. In addition to German as the main language, the content was also available in German. English, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Turkish and Arabic available.

Unfortunately, over time it has become clear that it still is very difficult The goal is to reach migrants. The proportion of people with a non-German mother tongue in our energy communities is currently... less than one percent. This small percentage unfortunately does not justify the associated effort – including financial costs.

For this reason, we have decided to do this To temporarily suspend the multilingualism project and our websites will now only be available on German and English to offer.

We currently don't know how we can successfully reach and motivate people whose native language is not German to join an energy community. Previous approaches have had little success; even from the Islamic religious community, despite inquiries, we have not yet been able to identify any interest.
