Here you can easily calculate how much costs and taxes you saveif you want to use electricity from a regional Renewable Energy Community (EEG) refer to.

The calculation shows a Example of a Viennese household in network level 7. Simply enter two values:
– How many cents per kilowatt hour You currently pay to your electricity supplier (e.g. Wien Energie, Verbund, etc.), and

The example calculation is based on a household in Vienna (grid level 7) with an electricity price of 18.84 cents per kilowatt hour (including VAT, according to VERBUND on July 1, 2025), an average annual consumption of 3,500 kWh, and a 30% share of renewable energy (EEG) electricity from photovoltaics.
